The world found out about Elon Musk’s twins after their mother, Shivon Zilis, filed court documents in Texas, asking the court to change the children’s last names to ‘have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name.’
Musk didn’t shy away when asked about twins, who were born in November 2021. He tweeted: “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far. Mark my words, they are sadly true.”
Shivon Zilis is the director of operations for Musk’s AI company Neuralink.
Zilis was born in Canada to a Caucasian man and an Indian mom
Shivon Zilis recently shot into the limelight, so there’s very little information about her private life. She even deleted her Instagram page after news of the children leaked.
Zilis told OZY in 2015 that she was born in Canada to a Caucasian man and an Indian-immigrant mom. Shivon said she ‘pretty much turned out white – I just got the big eyes from the Punjabi side.’
Shivon graduated from Unionville High School in Toronto with academic and sports scholarships to Yale University. She became a successful venture capitalist, making Forbes 2015 list of top ’30 under 30: Top Young Investors of Venture Capital.’
