Is there someone who seems to always rub you the wrong way? Are you in a relationship with a person and no matter what you do, you always end up fighting? It could be because of your zodiac sign.
Usually, a zodiac sign refers to the sign the Sun was in when you were born. The Sun is not the only factor in determining your character or your compatibility with another person. It is an important one, however.
Some zodiac signs are compatible, and some are not. The most difficult relationships between zodiac signs are the ones that just don’t get each other. These signs have nothing in common, which makes it hard for them to communicate. In order to make these relationships work, the people need to accept their differences and that they will never understand what makes the other tick.
In addition to the signs that do not understand each other, there are two sign combinations that are the most volatile in the zodiac.
Signs that Don’t Get Each Other
Below are the signs that don’t get along because they do understand each other.
1) Aries and Taurus
Aries is the warrior and loves nothing more than to fight and compete. In contrast, a fun night for Taurus would be to sit in front of the television watching a show they have seen a million times. It would be even better with a plate of good food. Aries annoys Taurus to no end, and Taurus bores Aries to death.
Yet, if they can find a way to accept and respect each other, they can help each other. Aries can push Taurus to get up off of the couch, and Taurus has the staying power to finish what Aries starts.
2) Taurus and Gemini
Taurus has a similar problem with Gemini as they have with Aries. Gemini likes to be busy with a million new and different things every day. Taurus much prefers the comfortable and familiar. If they are in a love relationship, Gemini’s fickleness will provoke Taurus’ possessiveness. Still, Taurus can be an anchor for Gemini, and it will not kill Taurus to try something new every now and then.
3) Taurus and Sagittarius
Sagittarius is always up for an adventure, and adventure is the last thing that Taurus wants. Also, Taurus values security more than anything else, and Sagittarius values freedom. What makes this more difficult is that both Taurus and Sagittarius have a judgmental side, each thinking that their way is the best way to be.
For a love relationship to work between these signs, Taurus will need to set aside their possessiveness to allow Sagittarius to travel and go places by themselves. In turn, Sagittarius will need to reassure Taurus of their faithfulness from time to time.
4) Gemini and Scorpio
This is a very difficult combination. Gemini is the proverbial “jack of all trades, master of none,” while Scorpio likes to delve deep into anything they do. It is hard for these two to have a conversation because Gemini will have flitted to many different topics before Scorpio has even begun to scratch the surface of one.
Gemini sees Scorpio as obsessive, and Scorpio finds Gemini to be extremely flighty. For these two to get along, both need to have a sense of humor and learn to laugh at their differences.
5) Cancer and Leo
Ruled by the Moon, Cancer is shy, with a soft underside covered by a hard shell. Leo is ruled by the Sun and is the most outgoing and extroverted sign in the zodiac. The two are literally as different as night and day. Cancer finds Leo loud and egotistical and does not give Leo the type of admiration they crave.
The good news is that these two will rarely form any relationship with each other at all. Cancer will not seek out Leo, and Leo will not notice Cancer. If this pair does get together for some reason, the best way for them to manage is for Leo to become Cancer’s protector and not push Cancer to come out of their shell.
6) Cancer and Aquarius
Cancer has a different problem with Aquarius. Cancer is extremely emotional and intuitive. Aquarius is detached and intellectual. These two signs have a difficult time communicating and understanding each other. They speak different languages. Cancer will think that Aquarius is cold and unfeeling, and Aquarius will think Cancer is way too clingy.
They do have an advantage, however. Cancer is a very nurturing sign, and they will go out of their way to understand those they that care about. Aquarius is intellectually curious and loves to learn about different people and what makes them tick. This means that they will both be motivated to try to learn about and understand each other.
7) Leo and Virgo
This is a quite a mismatched pair. Leo is well, Leo, and Virgo is modest, detail-oriented, and critical. Leo wants admiration, not “constructive criticism.” By the same token, Virgo will not be charmed by Leo’s larger than life persona. If the two of them can find a way to see past their differences, however, they can do a lot of good for each other.
Virgo could use someone to help lighten things up. Also, no one is perfect, not even Leo. Leo can benefit from Virgo’s eagle eye in spotting flaws and attention to the little things that Leo thinks are too minor to worry about.
8) Leo and Capricorn
Leo has similar problems with Capricorn as with Virgo. No nonsense Capricorn is rarely in any mood to deal with Leo’s antics. This problem is magnified in that unlike Virgo, who is willing to take orders and work behind the scenes, Capricorn wants to be in charge. In a working relationship, though, Capricorn can act as a manager for Leo, who wants to be the star or celebrity.
9) Leo and Pisces
This mismatched sign combination gets along better than most of the pairs discussed in this article. Pisces will be charmed by Leo and will give Leo plenty of admiration. On the other hand, they have the least to offer each other. Leo will soon learn that Pisces admires many people, and when this happens, it will no longer make Leo feel special. By the same token, Leo will not be able to offer Pisces the support this sign needs.
10) Virgo and Aquarius
Aquarius and Virgo do not have any real basis from which to communicate. Aquarius looks at the world in a detached way. They are interested in different ideas, but it rarely impacts their own point of view. Virgo notices every detail and can get obsessed with making one thing absolutely perfect.
The only saving grace with this pair is that they are both intellectually curious. If they accept that they truly are different, they can view each other like an anthropologist would a foreign and exotic culture.
11) Libra and Scorpio
This is a rather volatile mismatch. Courtesy is the most important thing in the world to Libra. Scorpio wants to dig deep under the surface to find everything, even, or perhaps especially, the things that ought to remain hidden. Libra will be mortified by Scorpio’s lack of delicacy, and Scorpio will be frustrated by Libra’s desire to sweep everything under the rug.
Despite their volatility, these two can be quite useful to each other. Libra can smooth over Scorpio’s rough edges, and Scorpio will be one of the few signs that will take the time to decipher and decode Libra’s indirect communication style.
12) Scorpio and Sagittarius
Scorpio likes stability and depth. Sagittarius likes freedom and breadth. Scorpio has a well-deserved reputation for jealousy and possessiveness, and Sagittarius is positively allergic to such things. Despite their difficulties, these signs can learn to “live and let live.” Sagittarius can go on adventures while Scorpio is deeply engrossed in a project.
13) Aquarius and Pisces
This is combination has similar problems to the one between Cancer and Aquarius discussed early. Aquarius finds Pisces baffling and over-emotional, and Pisces finds Aquarius detached and cold. These signs can learn to manage though. They are both interested in understanding those that are different from them.
The main thing will be that Pisces will need to accept that Aquarius will not give them the emotional support they need. They will need to get that support from others, such as friends or family members.
The Most Volatile Combinations in the Zodiac
Now that we have talked about the signs that do not get along, let us look at the two stormiest sign combinations in the zodiac.
14) Aries and Cancer
Aries is the Ram who charges forward, while Cancer is the Crab that hides in its shell with fierce claws for protection. Aries will push forward, while Cancer will try to retreat. It is inevitable that Aries will back Cancer into a corner, and that is where Cancer is at their fiercest.
This battle will continue into eternity unless Aries backs off and gives Cancer some room. Once Cancer is no longer threatened, the gentle and nurturing nature will return. This will allow the two to make up and tend to their wounds.
15) Aries and Aries
Always up for a good fight, Aries is a difficult sign to get along with. It should be no surprise then that the hardest sign for Aries to get along with would be another of the same sign. When two Aries get together, they will fight about everything, no matter how large or small.
The good news is that both of them enjoy fighting. Despite what it looks like from the outside, they actually do not mind their arguments. It may be upsetting to those around them, though.
