On October 19, 1987, there was a stock market crash all over the world. This day marked the biggest Dow Jones Industrial Average loss ever. No one knows exactly why this happened, but the new comedy series, Black Monday, has a theory.

Black Monday premiered on Showtime on January 20, 2019. This is a television series that was created by Jordan Cahan and David Caspe. It is set during the year leading up to Black Monday. In the series, a group of outsiders attempts to take on Wall Street. In this fictional account, it is the activities of these outsiders that we were responsible for the stock market crash known as Black Monday.

Right now, you can see the season premiere for free on Showtime’s website.

The main characters on Black Monday are Maurice Monroe, played by Don Cheadle, Blair Pfaff, played by Andrew Rannells, Dawn Darcy, played by Regina Hall, and Keith, played by Paul Scheer.

The episodes are 35 minutes long, and it appears that there are 5 episodes scheduled. As mentioned before, the first episode aired on January 20, 2019. The second episode is scheduled for January 27, 2019, the third, for February 10, 2019, the fourth, for February 17, 2019, and the fifth, for February 24, 2019.

Black Monday has received mixed reviews from critics. Its premise is solely comedy. It doesn’t appear to contain any moral or political commentary. On Rotten Tomatoes, it received an aggregate Tomatometer score of 57%.

Is Black Monday on Netflix?

Black Monday is not currently on Netflix.

Will Black Monday be coming to Netflix?

While Black Monday is only on Showtime right now, will it come to Netflix sometime in the future?

There is a very good chance that Black Monday will eventually come to Netflix.

There are several former Showtime series that are currently playing on Netflix right now, including Dexter, The Tudors, and Californication. This makes it look promising that Black Monday will one day come to Netflix. On the other hand, none of these shows came to Netflix until they stopped running on Showtime.

We do not know how many seasons Black Monday will run, or what will happen between Showtime and Netflix in the meantime. For this reason, it is impossible to know exactly when, or even if, Black Monday will come to Netflix.

On the other hand, there are plenty of things available right now on Netflix that you might be interested in. Below are some shows you may want to consider:

  • Sex Education – This show is about a teenager, Otis, whose mother is a sex therapist, who starts a sex therapy clinic at school. There is currently one season available with eight episodes.
  • Friends from College – This series is about friends from college who reconnect 20 years after graduation. There are currently two seasons available with eight episodes each.
  • The Last Laugh – This is a movie about a restless talent manager who reconnects with a long-time former client to get back out on the comedy circuit.
