Mason Greenwood’s career hangs in the balance following allegations that he raped and assaulted his girlfriend, Harriet Robson. Harriet posted graphic audio recordings and images to prove Mason’s abusive behavior. One video featured the following caption: “To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me.”

The football community sympathized with Robson and commended her for her courage while petitioning for action against Mason from authorities and the Manchester United hierarchy. Per the BBC, Greenwood has been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.

Mason Greenwood’s parents, Melanie Hamilton and Andrew Greenwood, are yet to comment on the allegations against him.

Mason’s parents supported him as he rose the football ranks

Mason Greenwood was born on 1st October 2001 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, to Melanie Hamilton and Andrew Greenwood. Greenwood has Jamaican roots.

Andrew and Melanie supported their children’s sporting ambitions. Mason’s sister is a successful track athlete, while Mason is a highly-rated footballer.

Mason managed to prove his worth on the pitch due to the support he received off the pitch from his parents.

Andrew is an engineer working in the Yorkshire region, and Melanie is a housewife. They have maintained a low-key presence during Mason’s rise and are likely to remain silent during the investigation into Mason’s alleged abuse.

Meanwhile, Harriet Robson’s parents have released a statement regarding Robson’s allegations. Robson’s father told Mail Online that Harriet didn’t want the photos and audio released. Her father said:

“As a father you don’t want to know that things like that happening to your daughter. She told us her phone has been hacked. We told her to take it down. She is devastated because she didn’t want it released. Their relationship has not been good for the last few months. She is completely devastated by it all.”
