Toy Story 4 premiered in Hollywood on June 11, 2019, and will be coming out in theaters on June 21, 2019 in the United States. It is the sequel to Toy Story 3 which came out in 2010. Like all of the movies in the Toy Story franchise, the main character, Sheriff Woody, is played by Tom Hanks. It is rumored that this will be the last film in the series.

This installment takes place a few years after the events of Toy Story 3, and Woody and the rest of the toys are now living with a child named Bonnie. Bonnie makes a new toy out of a spork who is named Forky. Unfortunately, Forky has an existential crisis about being a toy and decides to escape. When Woody goes to save him, he becomes separated from the group, and the adventure begins.

Toy Story 4 is dedicated to actor and comedian, Don Rickles, who passed away in 2017, and animator, Adam Burke, who passed away in 2018. Don Rickles played Mr. Potato Head in the first three films in this series. Don Rickles was supposed to appear in Toy Story 4, but he passed on before any lines could be recorded. Even so, his family pleaded with Pixar to find a way to include him in the film. It turned out that there was enough archival material from 25 years of the Toy Story franchise to piece together his character for this film.

Pre-sales began on May 28, 2019, and Toy Story 4 has already set records on Fandango for the most tickets sold for an animated film. According to Atom Tickets, Toy Story 4 has sold 50% more than the previous three highest-selling animated films combined. It is projected that this movie will earn $180-200 million in its opening weekend.

Critical response has been overwhelmingly positive. This movie currently holds an aggregate score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
