John Aniston appeared frail in his final years but wasn’t sick
John Aniston appeared frail in his final years, but there was no indication that he was sick. Jennifer’s announcement revealed that John died ‘without pain,’ suggesting he wasn’t ill and likely died of old age.
Aniston’s public appearances reduced as he aged: he didn’t even show up to collect his Lifetime Achievement Award in June 2022. Jennifer made a surprise virtual appearance at the ceremony, praising her father’s long career.
“It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad,” the actor, who won an Emmy in 2002 for her role in Friends, said.
The Daily Mail photographed John shopping in Los Angeles in March 2022, weeks before the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down. John used a walking stick from the parking lot to the Costco warehouse before switching to a mobility scooter to move about inside.
After shopping, Aniston enjoyed Costco’s $1.50 hot dog while his wife, Sherry, ate a slice of pizza. The couple bought several things, including six super-sized bottles of red wine. Despite requiring assistance to locomote, John didn’t appear sick.
