The Biggest Little Farm is a documentary about a couple who leave their LA apartment to start a sustainable farm in Moorpark, California.
The Biggest Little Farm is not on Netflix right now, and it is not available to stream anywhere as of yet.
The Biggest Little Farm came out in theaters on May 10, 2019. It was written, directed, and produced by John Chester, who also starred in it along with his wife, Molly Chester. It was co-written by Mark Monroe and co-produced by Sandra Keats.
John Chester is a cinematographer for wildlife documentaries, and his wife, Molly is a chef and a food blogger. They are evicted from their Santa Monica apartment because of the frequent barking of their rescue dog, Todd. As a result of this, they pursue a dream to revitalize land that had been destroyed by a company that only grew a single crop.
The Biggest Little Farm chronicles eight years of work to turn their “dead” land into a growing and thriving ecosystem. While the movie is mostly upbeat, there are some unpleasant tasks involved in maintaining a farm. Many of these tasks are not shown, but they are discussed. According to NPR reviewer, Mark Jenkins, “It’s unlikely that anyone who sees the movie will think, ‘I could do that.’” On the other hand, the couple is able to create a viable and sustainable farm that is eco-conscious.
Prior to coming out in theaters on May 10, 2019, The Biggest Little Farm appeared in several prestigious festivals, such as The Toronto International Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival. It has received many positive reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an aggregate score of 93%. The Biggest Little Farm has also received many awards, including the second runner-up for The Grolsch People’s Choice Documentary Award at the Toronto Film Festival and the runner-up for the Festival Favorite Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
Will The Biggest Little Farm Come to Netflix? – Where to Stream and Watch
The Biggest Little Farm will not be coming to Netflix, at least not in the US.
In the United States, The Biggest Little Farm is being distributed by NEON. NEON is a very new production company that specializes in private indie films. Although it was only founded in 2017, NEON already has an exclusive multi-year agreement with Netflix’s rival, Hulu. That means when The Biggest Little Farm finishes in theaters, it will go to Hulu rather than Netflix. It is unknown at this time when it will come out on Hulu.
If you are in a region other than the United States, there is a possibility you may be able to see this film on Netflix, but there is not any information about that available at the present time.
