Isn’t it Romantic is a satire about a woman who becomes trapped in a world in which everything functions the way it would in a romantic comedy.

Isn’t It Romantic was directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson and produced by Todd Gamer, Grant Scharbo, and Gina Matthews. It was written by Erin Cardillo, Dana Fox, and Katie Silberman.

The main character of this movie is Natalie, played by Rebel Wilson, who is an Australian architect living in New York City. She always believed that romantic comedies were pure fantasy, and because of this, she loathed them. After being knocked out while fleeing from a mugger, she wakes up in a fancy hospital and discovers that she is in a PG-13 Romantic Comedy Universe.

In order to leave this universe, which is filled with all of the rom-com clichés, Natalie believes that she must fall in love.

In addition to Rebel Wilson, Isn’t It Romantic also stars her two love interests, Blake, played by Liam Hemsworth, and Josh, played by Adam DeVine. This movie also features Priyanka Chopra, Betty Gilpin, Brandon Scott Jones, Tom Ellies, Jennifer Saunders, and Big Jay Oakerson.

Isn’t It Romantic finished third at the box office after its six-day opening weekend, grossing $20.4 million.

It has received mixed reviews. Some critics have enjoyed the satire of the romantic comedy genre but have also said that Isn’t It Romantic ends up being just as much of a rom-com as it is making fun of. Most critics were pleased by Rebel Wilson’s performance and said that she was the right person for the role. Isn’t It Romantic received an aggregate score of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes.
