Scout Masterson, star of Extreme Guide to Parenting, passed away on 11th September 2022, aged 48. His husband and co-star, Bill Horn, announced the passing via Instagram: “Yesterday we lost a loving husband, kind friend, a good son, and an amazing parent. Scouty, we miss [you] so much.”
Horn later uploaded a post thanking people for their overwhelming support. He wrote: “The outpouring of love these past few days has been overwhelming and amazing. Thank you! So many calls, texts, DMs, flowers and so much food. We will survive this thanks in large part to so much.”
Scout Masterson’s family hasn’t released his cause of death
Scout Masterson’s cause of death remains a mystery: his family is yet to release information about his passing. The only information available to the public was that Masterson’s death was unexpected.
Condolences continue pouring in from the many people that Masterson touched. Scout’s best friend, Tori Spelling of 90210, wrote on Instagram that it’d taken her a while to accept that Masterson was gone.
Spelling praised his selflessness and kindness, calling him the best dad, husband, son, dog dad, friend, and Guncle. She concluded her post:
“Stella said to me “I can’t believe I’ll never get a hug from Uncle Scouty again. He gave the best hugs. And, always smelled so good”. All true. Best hugger in the world. Love and prayers to his amazingly beautiful family. Light one [candle] in his honor if you can. A beautiful flame in his honor if you can.”
Denise Richard of Bold & Beautiful also posted a heartfelt tribute to Scout on Instagram. She wrote:
“Scouty, I will never forget you and the beautiful memories over so many years. All the pool days we had, kids stuff together, you & Billy helping me through the adoption process with Eloise, being my confidant through it all, and many other memories.”
