Big Little Lies made quite a splash when it premiered in February 2017 on HBO. Based on a novel by Liane Moriarty, the series follows five women living in Monterey, California, who get caught up in a murder investigation. Shailene Woodley, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, and Luara Dern are the Hollywood A-Listers portraying the five women.
Meryl Streep joined in the enthralling second season of the limited series. Big Little Lies ended in season 2, but by then, it had scooped a myriad of awards for its story, direction, and acting.
