Jacobs was a cameraman before he joined the on-screen crew following The Viking’s exit. So far, Karl has accrued close to 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube and a massive 2.4 million followers on Twitch.
Like Karl, Sapnap is a gamer known for playing Minecraft on the internet. Sapnap launched his YouTube career in 2019 and grew his following by collaborating with popular gamers such as BadBoyHalo and Dream. Sapnap has over 3.2 million subscribers on YouTube and 2 million Twitch followers.

Karl and Sapnap’s online flirts are probably scripted to keep fans interested
Karl Jacobs are no strangers to flirting online and even appearing like they are dating. On 25th September 2020, Karl tweeted: “WHAT?! OPEN RELATIONSHIP???? DISCUSSED WITH WHO?! SAPNAP YOU’RE SLEEPING ON THE COUCH.”
The tweet implies that Sapnap suggested that his relationship with Karl Jacobs be an open relationship. However, there is no evidence to back up the claim that Karl and Sapnap are dating or have dated.
Are we ruling out Sapnap and Karl dating? No. However, at the moment, we don’t believe that the pair are in a relationship.
Karl and Sapnap sent Twitter into a meltdown by meeting up in real life in late March 2021
It normally doesn’t take this long for regular collaborators to meet up in real life, but due to coronavirus, Karl and Sapnap couldn’t meet in 2020. In late March 2021, however, the duo felt comfortable enough to link up at Jacobs’ house and hang out for a while.
Karl sent Twitter into meltdown after posting a photo of himself alongside Sapnap. “Popping off :]” Karl wrote alongside the photo. The hilarious reactions from fans ranged from shock to happiness that the pair had finally met. Sapnap reacted to the photo by writing, “So handsome.”
After announcing their meetup, the duo briefly streamed Minecraft on Karl Jacobs’ Twitch channel. Sapnap destroyed the house that he and Callahan used to live in before Jacobs joined the stream. The relatively short stream attracted more than 400K subscribers.
Fans had eagerly anticipated this meetup after Karl met Qauckity in December 2020 and Sapnap met Dream in early January 2021. Karl announced Dream and Sapnap’s meetup when he tweeted:
“I literally stayed up on the phone with Sapnap all night last night so he could drive to Dream’s in 1 night without falling asleep just for him to fall asleep at a rest stop when it was 11am for me…”
