The challenge stems from a video uploaded by @sarahbink in November 2020. In the video, @sarahbink’s friend complains in the background about being broke and states that she will got to the streets to beg for some ‘spare change.’

The video features a woman complaining about her finances. “I have 43 fucking cents, ahhh. I need a sugar daddy!” she screams. She adds that her last resort is heading to the streets to beg for ‘spare change.’
She then adds that she is open to ‘plastering her pussy on the sidewalk for some loose change.’ All the while, her roommate laughs as she plots how to get some ‘spare change.’
How can you participate in the spare change TikTok challenge?
The challenge works best if you do it via text. You can send the texts to anyone, but if you need some money you should probably send them to someone who cares about you. Your side of the dialogue should have the following texts:
