In this movie, global warming caused by the fracking of the Earth’s polar caps causes zombies to rise from their graves and wreak havoc throughout the town. Rather than brains, these zombies eat stomachs. Three bumbling police officers, Chief Cliff Robertson, played by Bill Murray, Officer Ronald “Ronnie” Peterson, played by Adam Driver, and Officer Minerva “Mindy” Morrison, played by Chloë Sevigny, along with a strange Scottish mortician, Zelda Winston, played by Tilda Swinton, try to manage the situation and stay alive.

This movie also stars Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Iggy Pop, Sara Driver, RZA, Carol Kane, Selena Gomez, and Tom Waits.

Despite its celebrity cast, The Dead Don’t Die has received mixed reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an aggregate score of 55%. Some reviewers enjoyed the movie and considered it a worthy addition to the zombie canon. Other reviewers thought that it fell flat. Many thought that this was a rather typical Jim Jarmusch movie.
