Donnie Baker’s cause of death is unclear; his death was described as sudden
Donnie Baker’s cause of death hasn’t been released. However, his passing was described as ‘sudden’, suggesting that he wasn’t sick. Also, he had dozens of events scheduled through the end of 2023, further indicating that he was in good health.
Baker’s family released the following statement after his death: “It is with immense sadness that we let everyone know that Ron Sexton passed away yesterday. He was Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us. Please respect our privacy at this time and pray for our family.”
Dusty Privette, Baker’s drummer and best friend, wrote on Instagram that Baker’s death had filled him with sadness and rage. Privette added on Facebook: “Words will never be able to describe the love I have for my brother Ron Sexton aka Donnie Baker! 17 years and a Million miles on the road. There will be a void in my soul that I will never be able to replace. I love you brother. I.m gonna miss you for the rest of my days.”
