Home Alone will forever remain one of the best Christmas films ever produced. The first couple of Home Alone films have stood the test of time, and they are regarded as the best films of the franchise. They follow a young Macaulay Culkin who gets left behind twice by his family as they leave for the Christmas holidays.
Macaulay then encounters thugs who plan to loot his family home. The thugs are eventually apprehended after Kevin lays a series of traps for them. Home Alone is a must-watch film during Christmas, but unfortunately, you will not find it on Netflix this year.
Is Home Alone available on Netflix ?
In previous years, Home Alone was offered to the highest bidder for streaming during the Christmas period. However, thanks to Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, Home Alone won’t be available for bidding, and so it won’t be available on Netflix.
It means that Home Alone won’t be available to stream on Netflix US, UK, Australia, and Canada. The only place where Home Alone will be available is in South Korea. The third film of the franchise will also be streaming on Netflix in Germany and Switzerland.
Where will Home Alone be available for streaming?
Home Alone will be available on Disney’s recently launched streaming platform, Disney+. Disney+ is currently available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
It is set to launch in countries such as France, Italy, and the U.K. in March 2020. Viewers in those regions will have to buy or rent the films from Amazon Prime and iTunes.
