Fighting With My Family depicts the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) career of the professional wrestler, Saraya “Paige” Bevis. It is based on the 2012 documentary, The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family. It was written and directed by Stephen Merchant.

On January 28, 2019, Fighting with My Family premiered at Sundance Film Festival in Utah. It is scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States on February 14, 2019, by MGM/United Artists Releasing and in the United Kingdom on February 27, 2019, by Lionsgate.

This movie is based on the true story of the WWE Superstar Paige, played by Florence Pugh, who was born into a wrestling family. Her and her brother Zak, played by Jack Lowden, get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to try out for the WWE, but only Paige is selected. Fighting with My Family is the story of her journey as she must face this new world by herself.

Actor and semi-retired professional wrestler, Dwayne Johnson (also known as “The Rock”), is one of the producers of Fighting with My Family, and he plays himself in this film. He was also instrumental in getting a studio to back it.

Fighting with My Family has gotten excellent reviews, with an aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes of 90%, with 94% of people wanting to see it. Despite it being formulaic and seeming like an advertisement for WWE, most reviewers found the story compelling and sweet.

Will Fighting with My Family come to Netflix?

When Fighting with My Family is finished in the theaters, will it come to Netflix?

Fighting with My Family will probably not come to Netflix in the United States, but it may in the United Kingdom.

The world of streaming services such as Netflix is big business, and the competition is growing fiercer. In order to obtain content, Netflix must work with the distribution companies. Fighting with My Family is being distributed by MGM/United Artists Releasing in the United States. There was a time that MGM had a contract with Netflix through its cable channel Epix. In 2015, however, Epix signed a non-exclusive deal with Netflix’s competitor, Hulu, and Netflix pulled out of its deal.

In the United Kingdom, however, Fighting with My Family is being distributed by Lionsgate. Lionsgate regularly works with Netflix. Indeed, through its subsidiary, Lionsgate Television, it is the distributor for the series, Orange is the New Black, which is showing on Netflix right now. So, there is a chance that this movie may come to Netflix in the UK at some time in the future.
