South African rapper Costa Titch, known for his viral song Big Flexa, suddenly died while performing at the Ultra South Africa music festival on March 13, 2023. He collapsed twice on stage at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg and reportedly passed away just within a few hours.

Costa Titch’s family did not disclose the cause of his death in their statement – He had no apparent health issues

Costa Titch, real name Constantinos Tsobanoglou, was only 28 years old when he died while performing. The late rapper’s family put out a statement on his Instagram, writing:

“It is with deep pain that we find ourselves having to acknowledge his passing at this time. We are thankful for those emergency responders and all those present in his last hours.”

Meanwhile, there is some backlash against the festival for failing to provide him with medical attention after he first collapsed. Social media is also rife with the rumor that Costa had a seizure on stage that was caused by the venue lights.

On the other hand, there is no confirmation that Costa had any health issues prior to his very unexpected death. Moreover, the family’s statement did not mention the cause of his death and they asked for privacy in the face of this difficult time.

“As we try to make sense of what has befallen us, [we] ask that we be afforded the time and space to gather ourselves,” the statement continued.
