Herschel Walker’s bid for Georgia’s senate seat suffered a significant blow as his son, Christian Walker, accused him of being a liar. Christian’s accusations against Herschel came in light of a report by The Daily Beast claiming Herschel paid for his ex-girlfriend’s abortion. Walker is an anti-abortion hardliner who backs abortion bans with no exceptions.

“I know my mom and I would really appreciate [it] if my father Herschel Walker stopped lying and making a mockery of us,” Christian tweeted. He continued:

“You’re not a ‘family man’ when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence.”

Christian seems to have a close relationship with his mother, Cindy DeAngelis Grossman

Christian Walker's mother

Christian Walker was born on 30th September 1999, to Herschel Walker and Cindy DeAngelis Grossman. Herschel and Cindy were college sweethearts who married in 1983. They divorced in 2002, three years after Christian’s birth.

Cindy often appeared alongside Herschel when he was a football star. However, her public appearances died down after his retirement and their divorce.

DeAngelis appears to have a close relationship with Christian and a considerable impact on his life. On 30th March 2022, Christian posted Instagram photos and claimed via the caption that he’d suffered so much abuse from ‘radical leftists’ on campus that his mom asked him to drop out.

“I have one quarter left of school, and my mom begged me to drop out because of the threat I’ve received from radical leftists on campus… because I’m a conservative,” Christian wrote.

Christian’s recent statements suggest that his quarrel with Herschel stems from the politician’s alleged ill-treatment of Christian and Grossman. Christian said:

“I stayed silent as the atrocities against my mom were downplayed. You have no idea what me and my mom have survived. We could have ended this on Day 1.”

Walker said Herschell was absent in his and his half-sibling’s lives: “I stayed silent when it came out that my father Herschel Walker had all these random kids across the country — none of whom he raised. And you know my favorite issue to talk about his father’s absence — surprise! Because it affected me.”

“He has four kids, four different women, wasn’t in the house raising one of them,” Christian said. The comments flew in the face of Herschel’s assertion that fathers should never leave their children even when circumstances force them to leave the kids’ mothers.

“If you have a child with a woman, even if you have to leave that woman – even if you have to leave that woman – you don’t leave that child,” Herschel told Diamond and Silk

Christian Walker’s mom alleged that Herschel was abusive

“I don’t care about someone who has a bad past and takes accountability,” Christian tweeted. “By how DARE YOU LIE and act as though you’re some ‘moral, Christian, upright man.’ You lived a life of DESTROYING other people’s lives.”

The ‘bad past’ Christian alluded to might involve the abuse allegations against Herschel by Grossman. In 2008, Grossman gave a rare interview to ABC News following the release of Herschel’s memoir Breaking Free: My Life with Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Grossman said that Walker’s revelation made ‘perfect sense because each personality has a different interest.’ She said:

“This one has an interest in ballet, this one has an interest in the Marines, this one had an interest [in the] FBI, this one had an interest in sports. It’s hard to explain, but even his physical countenance would change.”

“There was also a very sweet, lovable [personality]. That’s the one he told me I married. He told me I didn’t marry Herschel.”

DeAngelis also told the outlet that Herschel had a violent, abusive side. “There was somebody there that was evil,” she said. Grossman’s words featured in a campaign ad against Herschel:

“His eyes would become very evil. The guns and knives. I got into a few choking things with him. The first time he held the gun to my head, he held the gun to my temple and said he was gonna blow my brains out.”

Herschel said he had no memory of assaulting Grossman but didn’t deny doing it: “No, I don’t remember that, but I probably did it.”

Four years after Grossman divorced Herschel, she successfully sought a protective order from him after alleging that he threatened to kill her and her boyfriend. Maria Tsettos swore an affidavit stating:

“[He’d] expressed to me that he was frustrated with [Grossman] and that he felt like he had ‘had enough’ and that he wanted to ‘blow their fucking heads off.’”

In 2012, a woman, Myka Dean, told authorities that Herschel threatened to ‘blow her head off’ when she attempted to end their relationship.
