What happens when you give a teenage girl supernatural powers? The teen goes on a series of chilling adventures that lead her to the depths of Hell. That’s basically everything that Sabrina has done over the first couple of parts of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
The supernatural teen show has its fair share of adventure as well as drama. It is a great show, and part 3 is set to premiere soon. Read on to find out all you need to know about part 3 of Netflix’s hit show.
When will Netflix release Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 3?
Most fans were expecting that Part 3 would premiere during the 2019 Halloween period. However, it wasn’t to be, and we were a bit disappointed. Thankfully, Netflix has announced that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 3 will premiere on 24th January 2020.
We suspect that Netflix chose a January release date to allow for part 4 to premiere during the 2020 Halloween period. You will be happy to know that filming for part 4 has already began. Part 3 and 4 will have 8 episodes each compared to 10 episodes for part 1 and 2.
What happened in the part 2 finale?
The showrunners seemed to pack all the suspense and drama into part 2’s season finale. Nick dropped the bomb by revealing that he was working for the Dark Lord all along, and he unexpectedly fell in love with Sabrina while doing the Devil’s bidding. It was also revealed that the Dark Lord might be Sabrina’s father.
Mrs. Wardwell also revealed that she was Lilith all along. While all of this was happening, Father Blackwood went all pyscho and poisoned everyone at the church except for Prudence and the children. However, thoughts of a happy family among the four of them were dispelled when Prudence vowed to kill Blackwood for his actions.
The Spellman’s first attempt to thwart Lucifer’s plans was a failure, but their second plan proved to be more successful. Nick managed to trap Lucifer inside him, and Ambrose put a sleeping spell on him. Lilith then took over, carrying Nick’s sleeping body into Hell. She took over as the Queen of Hell and gave Sabrina her powers back.
Sabrina’s mortal friends also played a huge role by managing to stop the impending apocalypse. They showed incredible resourcefulness by preventing the gates of Hell from opening.
What to expect in Part 3
Part 2’s season finale gave us plenty to expect in part 3. The finale ended with the formation of a pact between Sabrina and her mortal pals. Sabrina plans to go into Hell to rescue her boyfriend. You might remember that despite all of Nick’s deception, he was able to sweet-talk himself back into Sabrina’s good graces.
Sabrina has her powers back, and it should help with the mission. However, we should remember that her friends are mortals going against supernatural beings. It might not end well for members of the ‘Fright Club.’
What is certain is that Part 3 will focus a lot on Hell. As you might expect with any teen show, relationships will also come into focus in season 3. If Sabrina manages to save Nick, will they get back together, or will Harvey end up with the girl?
The show might also take a completely different turn from what we are expecting. According to Seventeen, Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina) revealed;
“Oh my god, fans can expect a lot from this next season of Sabrina. A lot of new characters and new storylines. I think something that’s really fun about our show is that it constantly is changing. The plot lines are changing and the stakes are changing and the stakes are changing and the villains are changing.”
