There is some very important and exciting news! The long-awaited trailer for Avengers 4: Endgame has been released. This movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on April 26, 2019. Endgame is the sequel to the blockbuster box-office hit, Avengers: Infinity War.
You can see the trailer below:
The plot has yet to be disclosed, but presumably, it will take off from the cliffhanger left by Avengers: Infinity War. It is also rumored that the MCU will be forever altered by the end of this movie. If you have not seen Avengers: Infinity War, you are in luck, because it will be coming to Netflix on December 25, 2018! This should give you plenty of time to prepare for the coming of the sequel.
Avengers 4: Endgame will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Also, almost all of the actors from the MCU will be returning. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Mark Ruffalo are among the returning cast. There are rumors that this may be the last movie for some of these stars, Chris Evans, in particular. Marvel has not confirmed any of these rumors, however.
If you are unfamiliar with the Avengers series, here are the previous films in order:
1. The Avengers (2012): In this film, Thor’s evil brother Loki attempted to invade and enslave the Earth
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015): The plot of this movie revolves around an artificial intelligence that tried to destroy all of humanity.
3. Avengers: Infinity War (2018): In this movie, Thanos engages in a quest for the Infinity Stones that are said to bring balance to the universe.
Will Avengers: Endgame Come To Netflix ?
As mentioned earlier, Avengers: Infinity War is on Netflix. Does this mean that we can expect to see Avengers 4: Endgame on Netflix as well?
Sadly, probably not.
Avengers 4: Endgame is produced by Marvel in cooperation with Disney. Disney has had a contract with Netflix to release its new movies to this streaming service after they finish their runs in the theaters. This is why Avengers: Infinity Wars is coming.
Unfortunately for us, however, the contract between Disney and Netflix is running out at the end of 2018, and Disney is not renewing it. Instead, Disney will be launching its own streaming service. Avengers 4: Endgame will not be released in theaters until April of 2019, so it will fall outside of this contract.
It could be, though, that regions other than the United States will still see Avengers 4: Endgame on Netflix. However, it is highly unlikely that it will come to the United States.
Aside from Avengers: Infinity War which is on its way, none of the other Avengers films are currently showing on Netflix. The recent MCU films, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther are both there, however.
