Apex Legends is a free-to-play game developed by Respawn Entertainment. It is available across most gaming consoles and is set to launch on Android and iOS in 2022. Season 10, dubbed Emergence, is set to launch on 3rd August 2021, and among the new things to expect is a new Legend named Seer.
Seer was introduced via a Stories from the Outlands animated trailer, which detailed his birth and the story behind his glowing eyes. We know little about his abilities, but per the Apex Legends website, Seer uses ‘microdrones and an artist’s eye’ to ‘spot opportunities that other Legends might miss.’ He then seizes the opportunities in ‘the most beautiful way he can.’

We are yet to see Seer in action, but he has already established himself as a fan favorite because of his looks. Valkyrie’s voice actress Erika Ishii tweeted:
“Seer Apex Legends if you read this I’m free on Thursday night and would like to hang out. Please respond to this and hang out with me on Thursday night when I’m free.”
Seer’s look has led to speculation that he is gay. Apex Legends is famous for incorporating LGBTQ+ characters in its gameplay. The game represents a triumph of the campaign to include LGBTQ+ characters in games.
Therefore, it would be no surprise if Seer turns out to be gay. For now, however, all we can do is speculate. One Redditor confessed to struggling to figure out Seer’s sexuality.
“He looks Gay,” the Redditor wrote. “He’s Gay… I-Is He Gay? HE HAS TO BE GAY!!! B-But is he though? I am confused.” The chances are that the Redditor and many other fans will remain confused until we learn more about Seer.
Unfortunately, the possible inclusion of another LGBTQ+ character hasn’t impressed some gamers. Some opponents of inclusivity have expressed their disappointment on Apex Legend’s social media pages.
