Kevin Costner deservedly won the Golden Globe for Best Television Actor in a Drama for his performance in Yellowstone, beating out Jeff Bridges, Bob Odenkirk, Diego Luna, and Adam Scott. After learning of his victory, Costner posted the following message on Instagram:

“Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press and @goldenglobes for this tremendous honor and to the @yellowstone team for bringing John Dutton’s world to life. I share this recognition with my castmates, the producers, and our incredible crew. Most of all, thank you to our show’s fans, who love Yellowstone Ranch as if it were their own.”

Kevin Costner is not sick despite speculation that he underwent ear surgery

Kevin Costner didn’t attend the Golden Globes ceremony, raising fan concern about his health. Costner is not sick. He failed to participate in the event due to flooding in Santa Barbara, California. 

Costner posted an Instagram video prior to the event explaining his absence. He explained that he and his wife, Christine Baumgartner, had been caught out by the recent floods in California. The actor said:

“We found ourselves on the wrong side of town, and we couldn’t get back last night. We couldn’t even get back to the house this morning in time with the freeways closed. [There’s] nobody sadder than us that we can’t be there at the Golden Globes.”

Regina Hall, Costner’s co-star, accepted the award on his behalf. She asked people to pray for everyone affected by the California storms to remain safe. 

Past speculation about Kevin Costner’s health has involved his ear. In December 2021, Twitter sleuths pointed out that a part of Kevin’s ear seemed odd – like a section had been cut away. 

In 2022, another user noted that the notch in Kevin’s ear had been covered up. The photos sparked rumors about Costner’s health, including speculation that Costner had ear cancer, forcing him to have surgery. 

Another rumor suggested that Kevin had an accident that necessitated surgery. Costner didn’t address the rumors, so we can’t explain the changes in his ear. Without any credible reports about Kevin being ill, we are happy to report that Kevin Costner is healthy.
