Zuri Craig was a musician and actor best known for performing alongside Jeffrey Lewis on America’s Got Talent in 2015. Craig and Jeffrey met in college and built a relationship on their love for music. The pair gained some recognition through YouTube before their fame skyrocketed following their starring appearance on AGT.
The CraigLewis Band released an album titled Must Be Love in 2016. Craig was also a collaborator with film star Tyler Perry, appearing in A Madea Christmas, Madea Gets a Job, and Madea’s Big Happy Family.
Sadly, Zuri Craig passed away on 21st October 2022.
Craig’s family has yet to release Zuri’s cause of death
Zuri Craig’s family announced his death via an image posted on ZoReMi entertainment’s Instagram page. It featured the following statement:
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the transition of our beloved son, brother and friend, Zuri Craig. We thank you in advance for your prayers. Please honor our privacy at this unimaginable time of mourning.”
The family said that it would release more information about his death. At the time of writing, they haven’t publicized Zuri Craig’s cause of death.
According to another post on the ZoReMi page, Zuri’s friends and family will celebrate his life in two Baptist churches in Atlanta (29th October 2022) and D.C. (4th November 2022). The caption reads: “Let’s celebrate him BIG!! We’re going to bless Zuri with a homegoing the way he would have wanted it.”
Jeffrey Lewis, Zuri’s bandmate, also announced Craig’s death via Instagram: “Yesterday I lost my brother, my friend. I am broken, completely devastated. I love you more than words can express. The CraigLewis Band Forever! Rest in Peace My Friend.”
