Shane Van Gisbergen dominated veteran drivers during his first NASCAR outing, convincingly winning the Chicago street race. Chase Elliot, arguably NASCAR’s most popular driver, praised Shane effusively. “In my opinion, he put on a really big-time clinic,” Elliot said. “I don’t want to speak for everybody else, but he made me look bad. I kind of think the rest of us, too.”
Shane Van Gisbergen is not married; he was linked with Jessica Dane
Shane Van Gisbergen is not married. The racer keeps his private life hidden from the public. Nevertheless, there’s no evidence to suggest that he’s married.
Shane was linked with Triple Eight Race Engineering co-owner Jessica Dane. The New Zealand Herald ran a story claiming Shane and Dane’s relationship was an ‘open secret’ on the circuit.
Dane partly addressed the speculation, saying she wasn’t engaged and didn’t want to marry. “I have never been engaged to anyone and never will be,” Dane wrote on Instagram in late October 2022. “Marriage is not for everyone.” Dane bashed media outlets for inaccurate reporting, writing:
“Apparently my private life is a subject of public interest recently. Something that annoys me as much as this intrusion is inaccurate and lazy journalism, filled with errors that could easily have been checked with me. Heaven forbid a female’s achievements are mentioned in gossip stories, it just wouldn’t get enough clicks. Apologies if you’ve read this rant, it’s probably very dull.”
Jessica witnessed Shane win a NASCAR race in Chicago’s wet and humid streets. “The moments you wish you could bottle up and relive forever,” Dane captioned a photo of the team celebrating under the city’s lights.
